Learning Objectives: --Participants will be able to assess at least 3 areas to help determine one’s readiness to enter private independent practice and provide competent services. --Participants will learn the steps involved in starting a business and becoming an independent mental health service provider in a manner that upholds the NASW Code of Ethics. --Participants will learn the process for ethical provision of services and receiving reimbursement through insurance, private payors, etc. --Participants will learn basics of growing into a group practice, including the benefits of providing opportunities for clinical experience and bringing more Social Workers into the field.
